In the development arena of Bangladesh all microcredit institutions feel that there is lack of proper coordination between each other. ASA strives to improve this situation. The prime objective of this program of ASA is to help the poor and underprivileged people through the locally operated small NGOs. To ensure the services available to the poor ASA has started this partnership program with 21 small NGOs in some parts of the country. underprivileged areas and create sustainable and effective microcredit practitioners. ASA not only extend loan to them but also provides skilled manpower and technical support. As a result of this program, ASA can ensure better and faster service and the partner organization can get better cooperation, technical and financial assistance. A total of 21 partner organisations have been given a loan fund of Tk. 44.30 million for microfinance operations under their respective area of operations up to December 31, 2000. |
