Target Members |
 Target group members are
poor landless labourers and marginal farmers with monthly average incomes
of not more than Tk. 2,000 (about $50). Also considered are the number of
family members, other employment, housing, cash and material possessions.
Persons affiliated with other NGOs are also avoided. There is a somewhat
flexible age limit of 18-55, relaxed if physical condition is exceptional.
To the extent possible members are selected that are like-minded and get
along well with each other, as well as show willingness to invest in income
generating projects. To this end, CO must collect family and other general
information on the members that are interested in forming a group, and BM
must verify and give final approval before a group is formed. |
